Purpose
The KASBIT Business Journal (KBJ) is a platform for scholars to publish their research articles. KBJ covers a broad range of management sciences fields where scholars can share innovative ideas and knowledge that align with current trends in the business arena. To ensure high-quality work, KBJ fully supports scholars in compliance with the policies of the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Submission of Research Articles
KBJ employs a rigorous editorial process for all research articles featured in the journal. The papers are first assessed by an editor and then evaluated by two referees through a double-blind peer review system. The Open Journal Management System (OJS) allows access to KBJ articles online. The entire process, including submission, refereeing, editing, review, and communication with authors, is conducted through the OJS. KBJ does not accept hardcopy submissions by hand or post, or via email.
Guidelines for Submission
During the submission process, authors must ensure that their submission adheres to all specified guidelines. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in the submission being returned to the authors. The following requirements must be met:
- The submission must not have been previously published and cannot be under consideration by another journal unless an explanation has been provided in the Comments to the Editor section.
- The submission file must be in either OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- URLs for all references should be provided where available.
- The text must be single-spaced, use a 12-point font, and employ italics instead of underlining (except for URL addresses). All illustrations, figures, and tables must be placed within the text at the appropriate points instead of being placed at the end.
- The text must adhere to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- A Cover Letter and Conflict of Interest & Declaration Statement are mandatory.
- The number of authors must not exceed four (4).
- Contributors' details should be added to the database as provided in the soft copy.
- A Title Page with author details and affiliation is mandatory.
- A Manuscript without author details is mandatory.
- Tables and figures should be included if applicable.
Peer Review Policy
Peer review is a crucial aspect of the publication process in KASBIT Business Journal (KBJ) that ensures the highest standards of quality for published papers. The process involves the following steps:
- Every manuscript submitted to KBJ journals undergoes strict and thorough review by experts.
- Upon submission, the Managing Editor performs a technical pre-check of the manuscript.
- An appropriate academic editor is invited to perform an editorial pre-check and recommend reviewers.
- The academic editor may choose to proceed with peer review, reject the manuscript, or request revisions before peer review.
- If the peer review process proceeds, the Editorial Office arranges for independent experts to conduct the review and collect at least two review reports per manuscript.
- Authors are required to make sufficient revisions, with a second round of peer review, if necessary, before a final decision is reached.
- The final decision is typically made by an academic editor, such as the Editor-in-Chief/Editorial Board Member of a journal or the Guest Editor of a Special Issue.
- Accepted manuscripts undergo internal copy-editing and English-editing.
Through these rigorous steps, KBJ ensures that only high-quality papers are published and that authors receive valuable feedback to improve their work.
Plagiarism Policy:
KBJ rigorously adheres to its policy against plagiarism. It is the author(s) responsibility to ensure that their submitted work is free of any plagiarism. The journal employs Turnitin.com to verify the similarity and identify any instances of plagiarism. KBJ permits a maximum similarity score of 19%.
